A moving day with us, hour by hour

  1. The night before

    We call to confirm.

You’ll hear from us before the truck ever starts: the time, the address, and anything that’s changed.

  2. 8:00 a.m.

    8:00 means 8:00.

If we say eight, the truck is at your door at eight, carrying blankets, dollies, straps and tools. If we’re ever running behind, you’ll get a call.

  3. 8:10 a.m.

    A walk-through, then we start.

We look at every room first. You get a plan and an honest idea of how long it’ll take.

  4. 9:30 a.m.

    Everything gets wrapped.

Blankets on the furniture, straps on the load. Whatever comes apart, we take apart, and we put it back together at the other end.

  5. 11:15 a.m.

    Bring on the awkward stuff.

Three flights with a dead elevator. A piano. An eight-foot Bird of Paradise. We’ve carried all of it, and it got there in one piece.

  6. 1:00 p.m.

    Door down. Off we go.

You’ll know where the truck is and when to expect it, whether it’s across town or over the pass.

  7. Supper time

    Home by supper.

Everything lands in the room you point at. Beds go back together. Pay by e-transfer or card, and go order a pizza.

Jeremy and Anna Evans, owners of Junk In The Trunk, smiling together
Jeremy and Anna Evans

There’s no call centre. There’s Jeremy and Anna.

Jeremy and Anna Evans started Junk In The Trunk in 2019, and they still run it side by side, husband and wife. Call the number and you get one of the two of them.

They book the job, send the crew and deal with it themselves if anything isn’t right. The Google reviews say the same: honest, easy to reach, and they’ll tell you straight if something isn’t worth moving. Nearly every review gets a reply from the owners, too. Go and look.

These are honest reliable people, these days that’s gold! If Jeremy says he’ll be at your place at one o’clock he’ll be there at one! Fair prices, good work and friendly. Highly recommend!

These guys can move ANYTHING! They are HARD workers and did such a great job moving into a freshly painted house. Highly recommend! Plus they are funny too!

Was referred from a local delivery company to try Jeremy out for a delivery of some appliances from Penticton to Keremeos. He had it done same day!! I can’t thank him enough. His crew were very respectful and kind. Easy communication and payment. I will most definitely call them again if we need anything moved or delivered.

I had the best moving experience I've ever had before!!! They were on time, moved faster than I ever could have hoped, and not a single item was damaged!!! And they were very friendly to top it off 😁

They were available within two days, did a great job taking apart and then reassembling the furniture, accommodated a second delivery on short notice, and were very pleasant to work with, bringing laughter to a tough day. I highly recommend these movers. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
